Resumen

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la vigencia de algunos de los postulados y las políticas del Programa de la Reforma Universitaria de 1918 y, a partir de un breve diagnóstico de las transformaciones operadas en el sistema universitario, esbozar los desafíos que debe encarar hoy la universidad argentina. En la primera parte de este artículo se abordan algunas de las transformaciones ocurridas en el ámbito universitario en las últimas décadas en la Argentina, que ponen en tensión algunos de los postulados reformistas. En la segunda parte, a modo de ensayo, se describen los principales desafíos que enfrenta la universidad pública Argentina en el siglo XXI.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the current validity of some of the postulates and policies of the 1918 University Reform and, based on a brief review of the transformations carried out in the higher education system, to outline the challenges that the Argentine university is facing today. The first part of this work analyzes some of the transformations that have occurred in the argentinian university system in recent decades, which put some of the reformist postulates in tension. In the second part, as an essay, the main challenges facing the Argentine public university in the 21st century are described.
